Using non-toxic borate at carefully measured rates enhances chlorine performance and helps maintain a stable pH – reducing the need for other chemicals. Adding borate also allows you to cut the time your pool pump runs by up to 40 percent, saving both energy and money.Along with documented savings in chemicals and energy, preliminary results in Florida pools also indicate that it prevents mustard algae so you can go all summer without shocking your pool.
