To the team at Arrow Environmental Services, a “green” lawn is more than just a brilliant expanse of healthy turfgrass. It’s also a commitment to protecting nearby lakes, rivers and bays so that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of Florida.
We develop a custom care program for every lawn to keep grass healthy with as few chemicals as possible. Precise levels of nutrients are applied only as necessary to maintain optimum health, and highly trained technicians carefully inspect your landscape on a frequent basis to help prevent widespread damage.
As communities across Florida’s Gulf Coast enact new regulations to improve water quality, we’re proud to report that our standard practices meet or exceed nearly every requirement in the new ordinances:
-We limit nitrogen applications during rainy season unless there are clear signs that the lawn needs it.
-We use a custom blend of fertilizer made without phosphate because Florida soil naturally contains enough of that nutrient to satisfy the needs of a healthy lawn.
-Our policy of not fertilizing within 15 feet of any body of water was implemented long before new ordinances called for a 10-foot setback.
-We have always used deflectors to avoid getting fertilizer on hard surfaces like driveways and sidewalks.
-Our technicians are trained to never blow grass clippings onto streets where they can enter the stormwater system and release high levels of nitrogen as they break down.
-And, while we’re on the subject of training, our technicians all receive far more than the minimum instruction mandated in the new ordinances.
A healthy lawn is important to a healthy environment because its dense root system filters stormwater before it soaks through to the aquifer. Our sustainable solutions are designed to keep both your landscape and our environment strong and vigorous for many years to come.
